SIDELOT DRAINAGE

After a break for a wedding in Ireland, we were back at it in August. The West side of the house had poured concrete that sloped into the building, along with a downspout that dumped right onto the ground. This caused the foundation wall to leak during heavy rain storms. We dug up the topsoil, added a bunch of packed gravel & sand, and placed new pavers. We've also temporarily routed the eavestrough to the fence and then south along the fence. This will be replaced more permanently once we redo the exterior of the house. My wife's family was very generous throughout this process; we resurrected their old 1990 3/4 ton work truck to move materials around, very handy!
